It started with a call from a producer on American Idol.  They saw a song Candice posted on Instagram and invited her to come tryout for the show.  Next thing she knew she was in Kentucky in front of Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie performing a song from her favorite artist Miranda Lambert.  She got the Gold Ticket and off to Hollywood Week.  It was an exciting whirlwind experience topped off by an amazing comment from Katy Perry, “1. your talented 2. your goooorgeous 3. you got style and to top it off you remind me of myself when I was your age!! Just a diamond on the rough.” Although she didn’t make it all the way at 15 she knew where she wanted to go from their.

Working with Michelle at Charlotte Ave. Pictures and song writer Tawnya Reynolds, they produced 5 songs at 2 renowned Nashville studio’s; Omni Sound and Warner Brothers Studios, Candice commented, “I was so excited to record in Omni Studios because that’s where Miranda Lambert recorded her first album.   

After seeing what they were doing with her American Idol alum Austin Michael, Candice decided to sign with Southwest International Entertainment (SIE Talent) when she got back to Texas.  After doing a couple of cover music videos, Parker McCollum’s “Pretty Heart” and Hailey Whitters “Is She Pretty?” she was ready to release her own music.  SIE Talent has helped Candice release her debut EP – Side/FX.  Her first single off the album was recently picked to be on Texas Country Music Association’s Texas Artists Compilation CD, which came out in February 2020.  On February 18th, 2020 Candice released her first original song music video for Side/FX (link below).
